As one of the three con\u00adstituent pil\u00adlars of the MIDA<\/span> research por\u00adtal, the \u201cThe\u00admat\u00adic Resources\u201d estab\u00adlish con\u00adnec\u00adtions between the MIDA<\/span> Archival Reflex\u00adi\u00adcon<\/a> and data\u00adbase<\/a>. They present users with sources on India in Ger\u00adman archives that are not dis\u00adplayed in the project\u2019s data\u00adbase, there\u00adin sup\u00adple\u00adment\u00ading its archival \u201craw data\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This infor\u00adma\u00adtion, pri\u00admar\u00adi\u00adly pre\u00adsent\u00aded in the form of com\u00adpre\u00adhen\u00adsive lists that are derived from sources housed in sev\u00ader\u00adal archives and col\u00adlec\u00adtions, is often in dia\u00adlogue with entries to be found in the Archival Reflex\u00adi\u00adcon. One illus\u00adtra\u00adtive exam\u00adple is the list of sources from the Hei\u00addrich Papers<\/a> locat\u00aded in the archive of Leib\u00adniz-Zen\u00adtrum Mod\u00adern\u00ader Ori\u00adent, Berlin<\/a> and the Archival Reflex\u00adi\u00adcon entry<\/a> which offers a meta-reflec\u00adtion on the process of trac\u00ading, index\u00ading and enlist\u00ading such sources. As a con\u00adnect\u00ading bridge among the three con\u00adsti\u00adtu\u00adtive pil\u00adlars of the research por\u00adtal, The\u00admat\u00adic Resources thus pro\u00advide a com\u00adple\u00admen\u00adtary pool of back\u00adground sources and also enable a com\u00adpre\u00adhen\u00adsive overview of sources on spe\u00adcif\u00adic topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The list\u00aded infor\u00adma\u00adtion on archival sources results from indi\u00advid\u00adual MIDA<\/span> research projects and the team\u2019s col\u00adlab\u00ado\u00adra\u00adtive work with asso\u00adci\u00adat\u00aded part\u00adners. The pri\u00adma\u00adry aim is to present overviews of sources on India-Ger\u00admany entan\u00adgle\u00adments or sources relat\u00aded to mod\u00adern Indi\u00adan his\u00adto\u00adry in Ger\u00adman archives on spe\u00adcif\u00adic themes (for exam\u00adple, suc\u00adcess\u00adful\u00adly com\u00adplet\u00aded dis\u00adser\u00adta\u00adtions on India sub\u00admit\u00adted at Ger\u00adman uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adties<\/a>). At the same time, these entries also offer the pos\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adty for enlist\u00ading var\u00adied kinds of sources, for exam\u00adple, India relat\u00aded sound files in the Lautarchiv of the Hum\u00adboldt-Uni\u00adver\u00adsit\u00e4t zu Berlin<\/a> or India relat\u00aded news\u00adreels in the Progress Archives locat\u00aded in Berlin<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
