This two day work\u00adshop aims at depict\u00ading the con\u00adnec\u00adtiv\u00adi\u00adties of var\u00adi\u00adous Mus\u00adlim indi\u00advid\u00adual intel\u00adlec\u00adtu\u00adals and com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adties in Europe, South Asia and the Arab Mid\u00addle East that are often stud\u00adied as iso\u00adlat\u00aded actors. The transna\u00adtion\u00adal nature of the archive and the com\u00adpar\u00ada\u00adtive approach of the work\u00adshop will help in devel\u00adop\u00ading an entan\u00adgled intel\u00adlec\u00adtu\u00adal his\u00adto\u00adry. It is only by merg\u00ading the results of indi\u00advid\u00adual research projects that we can get an idea of the whole pic\u00adture. There\u00adfore, this work\u00adshop brings togeth\u00ader schol\u00adars from Berlin Grad\u00adu\u00adate School Mus\u00adlim Cul\u00adtures and Soci\u00adeties <\/em>and Zen\u00adtrum Mod\u00adern\u00ader Ori\u00adent<\/em> as well as from the research projects Mus\u00adlims in Inter\u00adwar Europe<\/em> UERC<\/span> Start\u00ading Grant, Utrecht Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty) and Mod\u00adern India in Ger\u00adman Archives <\/em>(G\u00f6t\u00adtin\u00adgen Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty) as well as indi\u00advid\u00adual schol\u00adars from oth\u00ader institutions.<\/p>\n
