This list gives a detailed insight into doc\u00adu\u00adments con\u00adtained in the in the lit\u00ader\u00adary estate of Joachim Hei\u00addrich (Joachim-Hei\u00addrich-Nach\u00adlass).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The col\u00adlec\u00adtor Joachim Hei\u00addrich (1930\u20132004) stud\u00adied Eth\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy (Volk\u00adskunde) with a focus on Indol\u00ado\u00adgy and suc\u00adcess\u00adful\u00adly fin\u00adished his dis\u00adser\u00adta\u00adtion in 1958. From 1973 to 1981 he held sev\u00ader\u00adal port\u00adfo\u00adlios for the GDR<\/span>\u2019s Min\u00adistry of For\u00adeign Affairs, includ\u00ading dif\u00adfer\u00adent posi\u00adtions at the embassy in New Del\u00adhi, and the posi\u00adtion of the Con\u00adsulate Gen\u00ader\u00adal of the GDR<\/span> in Cal\u00adcut\u00adta. From 1981\u20131989, he worked at the Cen\u00adtral Insti\u00adtute of His\u00adto\u00adry (Zen\u00adtralin\u00adsti\u00adtut f\u00fcr Geschichte) fol\u00adlowed by the Insti\u00adtute for Uni\u00adver\u00adsal His\u00adto\u00adry (Insti\u00adtut f\u00fcr All\u00adge\u00admeine Geschichte) at the Acad\u00ade\u00admy of Sci\u00adences (Akademie der Wis\u00adsenschaften) of the GDR<\/span>. After that he worked at ZMO<\/span>\u2019s pre\u00adde\u00adces\u00adsor insti\u00adtu\u00adtion, the Forschungss\u00adchw\u00ader\u00adpunkt Mod\u00adern\u00ader Ori\u00adent, until 1995. Since the col\u00adlec\u00adtion of the Hei\u00addrich-Nach\u00adlass is not search\u00adable through the ZMO<\/span> data\u00adbase<\/a>, this list is an essen\u00adtial tool for the search of doc\u00adu\u00adments in this collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This list has been com\u00adpiled in coop\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion with the par\u00adtic\u00adi\u00adpat\u00ading stu\u00addents of the sem\u00adi\u00adnar \u201cTrac\u00ading India in a Berlin Archive\u201d, offered at the Insti\u00adtute for Asian and African Stud\u00adies, Hum\u00adboldt-Uni\u00adver\u00adsit\u00e4t zu Berlin in WiSe 2017\u201318 and 2018\u201319.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
