After the pre­miere and sev­er­al pri­vate screen­ings in Ger­many as well as the pos­i­tive feed­back in the inter­na­tion­al press, Anan­di­ta Bajpai’s film “The Sound of Friend­ship: Warm Wave­lengths in a Cold, Cold War” was final­ly shown in India as well.

The first event was orga­nized and fund­ed by The M.S. Mer­ian – R. Tagore Inter­na­tion­al Cen­tre of Advanced Stud­ies “Meta­mor­phoses of the Polit­i­cal: Com­par­a­tive Per­spec­tives on the Long Twen­ti­eth Cen­tu­ry” (ICAS:MP) in Del­hi on the 28.03.2022.

The event start­ed with the pre­sen­ta­tion of the vol­ume “Cor­dial Cold War: Cul­tur­al Actors in India and the Ger­man Demo­c­ra­t­ic Repub­lic” (edit­ed by Anan­di­ta Baj­pai), fol­lowed by a pri­vate screen­ing of the film. The audi­ence, which includ­ed sev­er­al employ­ees of the Ger­man embassy in Del­hi as well as mem­bers of the local Ger­man dias­po­ra, had the oppor­tu­ni­ty to dis­cuss book and film with the edi­tor and direc­tor Anan­di­ta Bajpai.
